Friday Stories: Birthday Gifts

For my eighth birthday, I got rollerblades and a chem lab from my mom and dad. Mitch got me a Fantastic Four game for Game Boy. I got a gift card for Target from Grandma Antognini and Grandpa Kent for $25 and I picked out a Star Wars Lego game for Game Boy and a Spy Watch XP-6. It had world time, alarm, night vision, an infrared scope, and a couple other features that I can't remember. It had at least twelve features. From Heidi and Dan and William and Wes, I got a science kit that I've been wanting for ages. I got the Littlest Pet Shop pup from Mommy and Daddy. It came with a pup and a treasure map, a treasure chest, a shovel, and a chew toy. I got a remote control kit for TV from Mom and Dad. I got Trivial Pursuit for Kids from Mom and Dad also. I got a Transformer from Angie and a book that said, Do You Doodle? I got a Expert Jumper parachute guy from Gumdrop and an outer space book and I got a Super Hero DVD from Gumball.

I went to the Mall of America for my birthday. We went to Mall of America on the 17th. I wanted to go to it on the 18th, but the field trip to the Mall of America was on the 17th. We went to Underwater World. At Underwater World, they had a tunnel where you got to walk through and look at the fish. The glass walls were so clean, it looked like you were actually by the fish. We saw sawfish, sharks, guitar sharks, stingrays, yellow puffer fish, sand sharks, and more that I can't remember. Dad and me got to have a behind-the-scene tour. We got to see where they feed the fish and also learned that an iguana has two eyes where we have it, and an eye right in the middle of its head. The littlest turtle took five people to lift it if they had to weigh him or if it was sick, to move it into a different place. I got rocks for my souvenir.

I got to look in Motor Madness. It's a place where you get to build remote control cars. At Motor Madness, you got to build a car. You got to pick out the body, the wheels, how it looked, you could put on stickers. I've never seen a store where you can build your own remote control cars. You also get to use real power tools. I didn't get a remote control car 'cause each car costs fifty dollars to make it.

We also went to Lego Land. I got to pick out a Bionicle and so did Mitch.

Friday Stories: Mystery Mouse House

Once upon a time there was a little gingerbread house with an upstairs, a downstairs, and another upstairs. It was three stories high.

Two little mice lived in there but nobody knew, because whenever they looked in, the mice were hiding under the bed. When they walked past it, or when they were in bed, they heard little giggles and chattering, and they couldn't figure out what it was.

One day, the child who made the house looked and found the mice. And he became best friends with them. The mice had a baby mouse. They named it Max. They had great fun.

People found out one day about the three mice but couldn't figure out where their home was. So they kept looking and looking but they never found it. The child gave them hints every day but they never figured out what it was.

One day the parents found out where the mice lived. So the child had to make them another gingerbread house and a hiding place and he also hid the gingerbread house. And the mice lived happily ever after.

Friday Stories: Mysterious Mystery Manor

Once, a long, long time ago, there was a city called Spooksville. Every year, kids went trick-or-treating to every house but one. That was Mystery Manor.

It had booby traps all over the yard, but also had the best candy. Only the most daring of kids went to Mystery Manor.

Once, a kid, eight years old, went inside and got super powers and had lots of candy. But one thing the kids didn't understand was that nobody was at the house when they got candy from Mystery Manor. But what they didn't know was that it was a ghost haunting it. Every year, five kids turned into ghosts because of the candy.

The ghost planned to make thousands of houses to overpower the little town. But that would take many years. The ghost didn't give up. He put more ghost powers into the candy so it would work faster. Nobody knew how it kept happening, but once they found out, they started building their support more and more.

And finally it happened. The battle lasted for ten years and then it was over. The people won.
